terms of use
last updated 18 August 2026. plain-english summary first; the full text follows.
1. who you are contracting with
The seller and provider of this service is Wobble, the legal business name of the entity trading as Wobble. Wobble is the data controller and contracting party for the Wobble reading app and its companion tools (Wobble Ink, Wobble Spell, Wobble Labs). When you use the service or buy a plan, you are entering into a legally binding agreement with Wobble.
Legal business name: Wobble. Place of establishment: Ireland. Registered address and company registration number are available on request by emailing team.wobble@outlook.ie.
By using Wobble you accept these terms. If you don't agree with them, please stop using the service.
2. what wobble is
Wobble is a web-based reading aid. You point your camera at printed text, or scan a whole book, and the app reads it aloud, splits dialogue between characters and lets you adjust the page to suit how you read. A free tier is available; Plus and Family are paid monthly subscriptions with higher book limits and extra voices and tools.
3. who can use it
Anyone with a modern browser. You must be old enough to enter a contract in your country, or have a parent, carer or teacher do it for you. Children under 13 should use Wobble with an adult present, and that adult agrees to these terms on their behalf. If you sign up on behalf of a school or organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
4. accounts
Wobble accounts are optional for basic reading but required for paid plans, family sharing and cloud history. Keep your login details confidential, give accurate information, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
5. acceptable use
- Use Wobble for personal reading, study or classroom support.
- Don't use Wobble unlawfully, fraudulently, or to send spam.
- Don't scan or upload material you don't have the right to read aloud or share, and don't infringe anyone's intellectual property.
- Don't try to break, probe, scrape or overload the service, introduce malware, or circumvent plan limits, credits or technical restrictions.
- Don't reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.
- Don't use Wobble to harass, defraud or harm anyone.
If you believe content processed through Wobble infringes your rights, email us and we will review and remove or restrict it. Repeat infringers lose access.
6. plans, payment and subscriptions
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance at the price shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Our own refund window and how to claim it are set out in our refund policy: a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Plans include a monthly allowance of books and a fair-use volume limit. We may adjust prices or allowances with reasonable notice before your next renewal.
7. licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Wobble for the duration of your plan. Wobble and everything in it, the software, voices, artwork, documentation and branding, remain our intellectual property.
8. content & copyright
Books, articles and other text you scan stay yours (or their author's). Wobble doesn't claim any rights over scanned content; you grant us only the limited licence needed to host and process it so we can provide the reading features you asked for.
9. AI features
Wobble uses AI models to split scenes into character voices, clean up scanned text and generate narration. AI can be wrong, always check anything important against the original page. Wobble is a reading aid, not professional, medical or educational advice.
10. service availability
We work hard to keep Wobble running but can't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. We may add, change or remove features as the product evolves. Please don't rely on Wobble as the sole reading aid for time-critical situations such as exams without checking it works on the day.
11. liability
Wobble is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, data or goodwill). Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
12. suspension and termination
You can stop using Wobble at any time and cancel a plan through Paddle or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations, with notice where reasonable. When access ends, you can ask us to export or delete your data; we delete account data within 30 days of a deletion request.
13. governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the courts of Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
